Sarzotti Park Master Plan

Sarzotti Park SignThe Sarzotti Master Plan Concept and Design was approved by the Ojai City Council in 2017. The Master Plan is the culmination of many months of discussion and public meetings with park goers, community members, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and City Staff. The City of Ojai now has a framework to utilize as we begin to make improvements to our community’s ‘Hub of Recreation.’ Over the next several years, the City will develop a phasing plan to prioritize each capital improvement project. The first project, completed in early 2017, was the Picnic Area Remodel, which is now being utilized by the community.

The next capital improvement project in the Master Plan is the Multi-Purpose Sport Courts project slated to be built in the South East corner of Sarzotti Park. The new amenity will provide a combination of outdoor basketball and futsal courts with lighting. This project is in the final planning stages with construction to begin in the near future. See the plans below for a glimpse at the future additions to your park.

If you would like to give feedback on any of these projects, please join us at the next Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting. The Commission traditionally meets on the first Thursday of every month at 6 pm. Access a copy of the agenda and meeting material. For additional information, please call the Recreation Department office at 805-646-558.
