OJAI DAY EVENTS 2008

 

CHILDREN’S AREA

            Kicks off with a “princesses and super hero” parade  – Everyone is welcome, no pre-registration required. Arrive at the Library Courtyard between 10:00 and 10:15. Parade starts at 10:30 and winds through Ojai Avenue following this year’s Grand Marshall, Thomas Jackson – and ends at the children’s stage in libbey park.

            A stage of music, magic and animals

            Free (and some minimal charge) activities for kids of all ages

            Bounce, slides and other fun games

            Face Painting

            Hair Braiding

            Hoola Hoop Contests

            Petting zoo

 

HEALTH AND WELLNESS AREA – located at the front of Libbey Park

NON PROFIT AREA

            New this year – two areas featuring non profit groups

                        One area will be in Libbey Park lining the walkway through the heart of the park.

                        The new area will be on South Signal Street

TEEN AREA

            New location this year – The Teen area will be in the grass seating area at Libbey Park.

ALMOST FREE Trolley rides with fun and games on board. Help local traffic and ride the Trolley to Ojai Day.

Aztec Dancers are the big finale at 4:30 around the mandala

 

Mandala painting

ADULTS - Friday night at 10:30 – come help create the beautiful mandala at the intersection of Signal Street and Ojai Ave.

We will also be holding a workshop on the designing of the mandala. It is free and suggested for all those interested in participating in the mandala painting. The workshop will be held at the Ojai Recreation Dept, 510 Park Road on October 9 at 7:00.
