Last year’s Ojai Day 2010 poster was painted by local artist Jamie Weil. Wild Matilija poppies and California poppies are the theme. Inspired by the beauty of the flowers during a hike in the Ventura Riverbed, Jamie created the watercolor original over Memorial Day weekend.
Mandala painting Come help create the beautiful mandala at the intersection of Signal Street and Ojai Avenue. Please CLICK HERE if you'd like to be on the mandala painting crew! Sections will be assigned to artists who are willing to help supervise assistants who volunteer from an interested and enthusiastic crowd that gathers at 10:30. WE NEED ARTISTS WHO ARE WILLING TO HELP SUPERVISE. We'll get together Friday night at 10:30, October 14, 2011, and create the 50 ft. diameter mandala. We work late into the night, until it is all done! Clean up help at the very end, in the wee hours of the morning, are greatly appreciated.
Part of the tradition of Ojai Day means meeting with friends... plan to meet with friends and family at the Artists' Area and spend the day downtown enjoying what Ojai has to offer.
